The Questions We Hear Most

Ten honest answers, by topic.

Sourcing

From the ranch, in plain English.

Every cut we ship is U.S.-raised — beef, bison, and venison, full stop. Pasture-raised American cattle, processed by a domestic co-packer we vetted end to end. No imported meat, no commodity aggregators, no mystery middlemen. When you taste Ridge & Range, you're tasting exactly what the label says.

Our Ingredients

What's in the bag — and what isn't.

Yes — every bag of Ridge & Range carries the same short list of promises: no nitrates, no artificial preservatives, no MSG, no imported meat, no fillers, no corn syrup. If we can't read it, we don't use it. The label is the recipe.

Flavors

Chef-driven flavor across every line.

Beef comes in Hickory Smoke, Peppered, Teriyaki, and Sweet & Spicy. Bison runs Original, Peppered, Chipotle, New Mexico Chile, and Honey Habanero. Venison is our leanest line — Peppered, Cranberry & Black Pepper, and Hickory Smoke. Each flavor is chef-developed in small batches and tested obsessively before it ships. Browse the full line on the /products/hickory-smoke-beef page.

Shipping

How it travels from our kitchen to yours.

We make jerky in small batches, so orders typically ship within a few business days from our kitchen. Once it's on the truck, standard USPS / UPS ground gets it to your door in roughly 2–5 days. Need a rush quote or a delivery-by date for a gift? Email us and we'll work it out with you.

Returns

If a bag falls short, we make it right.

If a bag doesn't live up to the label — tough, dry, off-flavor, anything that wouldn't pass our own taste test — email us and we'll make it right. A real person on our team reads every note, and that same person actually eats the jerky, so we know when something slipped.

Storage

Keeping it at its best.

Keep the bag sealed, cool, and dry. Unopened, our jerky is shelf-stable for months at room temperature — honest about that, with the caveat that we don't use artificial preservatives, so don't leave it baking on a dashboard. Popped open, refrigerate it and eat it within a few weeks.

Dietary

Gluten-free, keto-friendly, clean label.

Yes on both counts. The label is short — beef, bison, or venison plus a real spice list — with no wheat, no sugar bombs, no starch fillers. Beef delivers about 1g of fat and 24g of protein per ounce, bison runs around 26g of protein per ounce, and venison is our leanest cut. Built for the kind of snack that actually does something for you.

Ordering

Bulk, gifting, and pantry-stock orders.

Yes — for weddings, corporate gifting, hunting camps, or just stocking the pantry for the season. Drop us a line and we'll put together a bulk quote for you. We can mix proteins and flavors across the bag and case sizes, and we'll flag the per-unit pricing before anything ships.

Contact

Talk to a real person.

Email us at ridge-range-jerky@polsia.app — a real person on the team reads every message and actually eats the jerky, so feedback, questions, and bulk quotes all land in the same inbox. We try to answer within a business day.

How We Answer

Every answer on this page is written by a real person on our team — the same people who source the beef, blend the spice rubs, and pull the bags off the line. We write it in plain English because that's how we talk about jerky in the kitchen. If a question feels corporate or evasive, we missed the mark — email us and tell us.
